SHIPPING POLICY

ALL SHIPMENTS

Fed Ex is the preferred shipper of bier one.   All shipping charges for any order are based on Fed Ex quotes.  All shipping dates and rates are estimates only.  The actual shipping charges may be more or less than those quoted in your shopping cart.  If they are less, we will bill you the lesser charge.  If they are more, we will contact you with the revised shipping cost and await your approval before shipping your order.  

If your order does not contain alcohol, we may be able to ship your order via USPS.  We reserve the right to save you money by shipping with a carrier other than Fed Ex that can provide the same timely service requested by you during checkout.

Fed Ex is our preferred carrier because of their good track record in delivering orders timely and without damage.  Occasionally, damage will occur during shipment, and bier one will replace or refund damaged items if it is determined that the carrier was at fault or that the packaging of the shipment was to blame.  If items are damaged in shipment, you must notify bier one within 14 days of delivery in order to receive a replacement or refund.  This policy does not apply to weather-related damage, or damage due to delays.

ALCOHOL

We are currently shipping alcohol to the following states only:  AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, LA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NY, NC,ND, OR, SC, TX, VA, WA.   Because of the ever-changing state of alcohol laws across the country, this list may be changed at any time.

You must be 21 years of age to purchase and/or receive alcohol.  By placing an order for alcohol at bier-one.com you represent to bier one that you are at least 21 years of age.  We reserve the right to request confirmation of legal age before orders are shipped and we reserve the right to refuse orders for any reason, without explanation.

A person over the age of 21, with valid ID, must be present to sign for any alcohol shipments at delivery.  There are no exceptions to this policy.  Because of this policy, we are unable to ship alcohol to post office boxes, APO or FPO boxes.  We do not ship alcohol outside of the United States.

All alcoholic beverages are deemed to be sold in the State of Oregon.  Title passes to the buyer in the State of Oregon upon initial payment, and we make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship alcohol into any state outside of the State of Oregon.  By placing an order for alcohol with bier-one.com, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.  The customer is responsible for compliance with all local and state laws regarding such shipments.

If an order is returned to bier one because delivery was refused, or proper proof of age was unavailable at delivery, you will be charged a $10.00 restocking fee and all return shipping charges. 

We at bier one will make every effort to package your shipment with the utmost care and concern for the product.  Our alcoholic beverages are sensitive to extreme temperatures and bier one and the common carrier are not responsible for weather-related damage, so please do not place orders during times of extreme weather conditions (heat or cold).
